Below is an example of the story of Jesus retold as Harry Potter. I've tried to replace the best people for the most appropriate biblical characters, and the towns mentioned in the gospels with those mentioned in the Harry Potter books, and although you're going to find some discrepancies, I think you'll also find that it doesn't actually matter WHO the gospels are about: the ideas and stories remain the same. Does this go some way to understanding the futility of the bible as a book of "god"? Especially when you consider that Harry Potter is just as good as Jesus at being god, just as believable and with more actual "evidence" than the biblical Jesus.
